I'm Adam Sweet, a seasoned music teacher and traditional musician with over 35 years of experience. My lessons encompass a broad range of styles including Celtic, Americana, Balkan, Romani, classical, and chamber music. Join me in Granby, Massachusetts, for a personalized learning journey.

Granby Studio: A Haven for Musicians

Located just 15 miles south of the University of Massachusetts, my studio is nestled in an idyllic organic farm. Surrounded by apple orchards and berry bushes, it offers a tranquil setting for both online and in-person lessons.

Lesson Options and Fees

• Weekly 30-minute lessons: $35
• Weekly 60-minute lessons: $69
• Every Other Week 30-minute lessons: $45
• Every Other Week 60-minute lessons: $89

Basic Rules for Attendance and Communication

• One-on-One Lessons: Scheduled at a mutually convenient time.
• Online Lessons: Via Google Meet or another video conferencing platform.
• In-Person Lessons: At my home in Granby, MA. Parking instructions provided upon request.
• Instrument Requirement: You need your own instrument, although rentals are available.
• Practice: Regular practice is essential for progress.
• Rescheduling Policy: 24-hour notice required, or full payment for missed lessons.

Whether from the comfort of your home or at my picturesque studio, each lesson is tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Group Classes: A Community of Learners

Pricing: All group classes are $39 per session. Each session begins at the first of the month. You will be required to pay the full amount whether you attend or not. Snow days or other cancellations will be made up at the end of the year.

• Mondays 7-9 PM - Mandolin for Beginners: A perfect start for those new to the mandolin.
• Wednesdays 7-9 PM - Fiddle for Beginners: Discover the art of fiddle playing in a supportive environment.
• Thursdays 7-8:30 PM - Celtic Group Class: Explore the vibrant world of Celtic music.

Mandolin New England: Free Community Orchestra

Join our nonprofit orchestra for free mandolin concerts across Western Massachusetts and beyond. Instrument rentals available. Rehearsals on Saturday mornings. Learn more about the orchestra here.
